Foundation of a Lasting Legacy – Since 1927
In 1927 Elmer Bingham started The Maytag Shop in Burley, Idaho. In 1935 he moved to Idaho Falls, ID, and then to Rexburg, ID in 1940 where he changed the business name to Bingham & Sons and ran it with his three sons Winston, Cliff, and Paul. Later his fourth son Fay joined the family business and continued to grow Bingham & Sons from Maytag appliances into other brands along with furniture and flooring after the Teton Dam Flood.
From Our Family to Yours
Starting at a young age, Fay's son Mike came on board and brought on new innovations with a larger building and more inventory. His goals for the future and the love of serving the community by the Bingham family kept this legacy going and now has been passed on through four generations. Mike's daughter Amy and her husband Kody came on board in 2019 after living in Utah for 10 years. They love serving the community in Rexburg, and the surrounding areas so that one day it might be passed on to the fifth generation!
